Alanna Jankov
“I believe Charlottetown’s future lies in being both historic and progressive and working to find that balance”
Alanna is a longtime resident of Charlottetown and a strong advocate for residents, businesses and the arts and culture community.
“I am so lucky to call Charlottetown my home. The vibrancy and diversity in a City that still has that ‘small town feel’ is part of why I want to continue giving back. Charlottetown has the capability to become the arts and culture hub of Atlantic Canada. It’s also a fantastic place to do business. I love being part of local governance so I can work to continue fostering the diversified success in the City of Charlottetown.”
Alanna has held key positions on volunteer boards including the Women’s Network of PEI, the PEI Family Violence Prevention Service, Music PEI, CARFAC (Canadian Artists Representation), Vision 2050 and the Canadian Capital City Commission boards.
Affordable housing, alternative sources of energy, a more pedestrian and bike-friendly city, houselessness and improving governance are the key issues Jankov sees as priorities for the city.
